To an extent. But Atlanta went from worst to first in 91. Unless you believe in your heart Russ Nixon would have done a better job. Atlanta didnt have that one guy to close out games that they could depend on. Did you honestly think Pedro Borbon was giong to be that guy?

They didnt get extremely talented until they brought Maddux on board. He did an excellent job in 95. In 96 They got out pitched the final 4 games. Who would have thought Maddux would finish under .500 in his post season career. Not everything was on Cox. They never had that solid of a bull pen during that run. In the early 2000s they started trading away pitching for offense. How would have thought, their last 20 game winner would be Russ Ortiz.

did i tell you we go smoke free this fall? the day it was announced 2/3 of our CAM dept quit the day it was announced. now, we have an area near shipping with a makeshift "covering" for bad weather (you can cram 4 ppl in it).

in the meeting i said to our CEO "so we just go 20 feet across the street, and stand there rather than be on company property?"

then i asked about electronic cigs...legal to smoke indoors. he said they are reviewing if we can even do THAT on company property.

the irony? we make the tubing here for most of the electronic cigs on the market.

I asked about electronic cigarettes because the policy states that the "campus is tobacco free"...last I checked? No "tobacco" in e-cigs...
