It’s hard not to like EVERYTHING about this kid, so far. He won’t keep making it look THIS easy, but it’s nice to see some of the young talent emerging from the system.

FYI: Campbell was drafted with the pick they received as compensation for losing Xander Bogaerts.

It’s ridiculous. The guy has an 8 year resumé of being one of the best hitters in the league and some are ready to cut bait after a bad week. Devers won’t be the issue.

I don't hate the Sox for taking the flier on him, but I had a feeling that postseason wasn't going to be a reliable predictor for his 2025 season. We'll see how the rest of the season goes but I can't say today makes me feel particularly confident.

FWIW, Devers had an 8 game stretch in 2023 where he hit .107/.194/.107. Albeit fewer strikeouts and it was at the very end of the year, so it did dra his numbers down (went from .880 OPS to finishing at .851)

Yup, just sad for the local fans knowing the season is over a month before it starts…..

No today didn't give me much confidence. However, look at Devers he had an even worse start to the season and look how it appears to be turning out.
