that is not true. case & point, we had a one game do or die wild card , girardi chose gardner over ells.. we lost!
ellsbury healthy, is the better all around, more refined player than bulbhed! its not even close! ellsbury is still a yankee while girardi is not!
Ellsbury stinks. knew that contract was a horrible mistake as soon as I heard the numbers. Was praying someone would take him off of our hands this offseason.

Neil Walker's showing some signs of life during this win streak. PHing him for Austin (with great results) shows where Boone's head is at in regards to those two. Austin's going down for Bird, maybe even sooner for Drury.

The wheels are completely coming off, knew they would, but not quite this fast.

Sevy was at 109 pitches thru 6. Every manager would take him out in that situation unless he had a no hitter.

Especially in a close game with Green and Robertson rested. Sevy battled but didn't have his best stuff

16 out of 17. The train keeps on rolling.

What's going to happen when they actually start playing well? There defense hasn't been great. Gardner, Sanchez and Stanton aren't really hitting yet, Sanchez has been bad behind the plate, they got 2 guys nailed at the plate in dumb moves last night, and Tanaka and Gray have been shaky.

They're lost right now. Earlier in the year the Mets were at the bottom of the league in batting average but got every big hit. Now those odds have caught up with them and they can't get out of their own way

Our boy pasta thinks pitchers should be able to throw 200 pitches per start

The plan right now is to slug their way through their woes......

The yanks are carrying an extra pitcher right now so they might as well use them, especially when your top guys are rested. Sevy had a complete game last time out so Boone will leave him out there when he has his stuff. As good as he was last night he didn't have his best stuff. Had the Yanks not run themselves out of rallies and scored a couple more maybe he would have had a longer leash

Even more scary, not his best stuff or command and K's 11 through 6 with no walks......

Exactly. When his fastball wasn't getting over and the slider wasn't working he went with the change up and got people out with that. Considering it was the Sox who have an excellent line up that was pretty damn impressive for a 2nd year starter.

Sanchez doesn't drop that third strike on Nunez, Severino pitches into the 8th. He had to work much harder that inning then he needed to.

Yeah, I keep hoping that Sanchez will improve but it's going to take time. Johnny Bench led the league in wild pitches and passed balls his first 2 years and became an awesome defensive player. For Sanchez I'll take average with his bat and arm
