Greg Bird's return will send Austin back to AAA

Possibly but the Yanks have been carrying an extra pitcher so it might be one of them that goes back down rather than a position player

Drury and Frazier are already playing minor league re-hab games, so someone's going down for them as well. They might keep Frazier down longer, but I still have a hunch Austin's stint in the Bronx is coming to an end soon.

It probably will be Austin but I think a pitcher goes first. Even when Austin was hitting they didn't seem to want to give him a bigger roll. I'm getting a little worried about Andujar, he's been in a bit of a slump. He's been getting nothing but breaking pitches and he isn't adjusting.

I just checked Frazier's stats and I don't see him coming up anytime soon. He's hitting 290 but it's only 31 at bats and he struck out 12 times. Plus, Drury has experience in the OF so he can pick up at bats there and they can let Frazier get more at bats.

Yup, they're getting a book on him. He crushes fastballs so don't throw him any. He seems to be getting a better eye, slowly, but he's still got a long way to go with his plate discipline.

Same deal with Austin lately, he swings over every breaking pitch they throw him, so they keep throwing them.

Someone needs to give Gardner a little break. He's been looking pretty cooked the last few games. Some really ugly swings last night.

He looks like this is getting to him and he's pressing. He's slumped before but never like this. I'm not a fan of putting Stanton in LF at Yankee stadium, too much ground to cover, but once they're on the road again they need to give him a couple of days.

Stanton's clueless in LF. A disaster waiting to happen. Dirt and I talked about this. If you can play Judge in CF, why not LF?

I thought the same thing. I like Judges arm in right but at the Stadium right field isn't deep so Stanton's arm is fine for the task. Judge has the athletic ability to cover the ground necessary so why not?

Here's a thought...If they move Hicks to LF, Judge to CF and Stanton in RF, they can give Gardy a few nights off here and there and DH Sanchez. Then we have the better defensive catcher in Romine behind the dish without losing Sanchez's bat in the lineup.

Ellsbury stinks. knew that contract was a horrible mistake as soon as I heard the numbers. Was praying someone would take him off of our hands this offseason.
