He's really grown on me, but you have to think Drury has the higher upside.

Me too, but he's grown on us for mostly non baseball, on the field reasons.......The team loves him, he seems to be a lovable mascot type

I dont think that guy has had an extra base hit in 2 years

It may be time to say goodbye to the mascot

I know it could hurt team morale, but they can let him sit in the front row of games if they want him around

I disagree. He's one of the few guys that can produce when sitting large periods of times. I don't want young guys on the bench for days at a time the way he is, it'll stunt their growth. There's no reason to do anything until other players come back and no one else gets hurt and who knows what might happen by then

I'm still waiting to see if the Yanks can sustain this. Last year they had the 2nd best record in the league going into June and then went completely in the tank for 5 or 6 weeks. They turned it around and made the wild card but I still haven't forgot that stretch where they went something like 8 - 23

Oh you are for real. A WS team that just added one of the top power guys? Shit. When he gets going you will be tough to beat.

Does he really produce? He gets a base hit from time to time and it seems to get overly celebrated because he is well liked

I think he can be handy because a bunt or a pinch run can be important

But not at the cost of a guy like Andujar going down

They Yanks didn't make the World Series last year, Houston beat them in the ALCS. And this year Houston has Verlander all year and picked up the pitcher from Pittsburgh who's ripping it up. I still see Houston as the team to beat. Yanks should be tough be I saw some slumps last year and their starting pitching is pretty thin.
I can't believe how good C.C.'s been though. That old man is on fire.

He hit 292 last year and got plenty of big hits. Not saying he's a starter but as a role player, who can play multiple positions very well defensively he has his uses. I'm not sure these other guys will react well to sitting 4 or 5 days a week.
If everyone is healthy I'd rather see them dump Walker, who's been injury prone the last couple of years first.

It'll probably be a non issue, every time I see one of these conversations someone else gets hurt and it works itself out

Homefield will be vital for the Yanks this season...Houston was admittedly terrified playing in the Bronx last October, and the Yankees were just awful in houston

I just checked the numbers. He's actually hitting 362 in limited at bats and has 4 doubles in his 18 hits. About a 380 OBP. Not many guys can do that when playing 1 or 2 days a week tops.

All these being even, Id like to keep him, but from what Ive heard, releasing Walker is not even on the table, and the way he is starting to hit, maybe there is something to his not having a Spring Training

I just dont wanna see them mess with Andujar, Brandon Drury isnt some proven commodity that should mess up the chemistry of this team

Its not like Gary Sanchez is returning, and you have to find a spot for him

Neither team could win on the road in that series. I'll worry about the playoffs later, right now I want to see them catch the Sox and cement the staff. I'd love to see Germain come out of no where and be a real second or third starter. The kid lost a year to Tommy John and is finally back to full strength.

Like I said, no reason to make a move now and maybe someone offers something for someone and a trade alleviates the log jam.

And only in my wildest prospect-hugging dreams did I see Andular and Torres producing like they are. Usually doesn't work like this.

Like I said, nice problems to have!

To think he was a throw-in in the Martin Prado trade.

He was filthy yesterday.

Torres was the number one over all prospect in all of baseball before he got hurt so this doesn't surprise me all that much. Andujar I didn't see coming.

It was Prado and Phelps and for some reason the Marlins really liked Phelps.
