Red Sox acquired INF/OF Hoy Park from the Pirates for LHP Inmer Lobo.​

Park was designated for assignment earlier this week by the Pirates and quickly gobbled up by the Red Sox in a small trade. The 26-year-old offers plenty of defensive versatility, which gives him some immediate appeal in a reserve role, but he's hit just .201/.291/.346 with five homers and two steals in 210 plate appearances over the last two years in the majors. He'll get a fresh start in Boston.

You are right about that. Mattingly was as good as it got for the Yankees when he was there. Unfortunately, his back wouldn't allow him to play until they got good again.

Yankees have made a huge offer to Judge -- reportedly 8/$300MM. Not sure about the final number though. If he wants to be a Yankee, he'll be one. What are the Yankees going to do to add around him?
They need him more than he needs them. Other teams will offer the same or bigger dollar figures. With him, they still have holes. Without him, they might not even make the playoffs.
