According to Alex Speier of the Boston Globe, the Red Sox have been in contact with free agent right-hander Corey Kluber.​

It's a tradition unlike any other. Kluber -- who resides in Winchester, Massachusetts -- has been linked to the Red Sox in each of the last two offseasons, before ultimately signing with Boston's division rivals in the Yankees and Rays, respectively. The two-time Cy Young Award winner isn't the dominant force he was earlier in his career anymore, but he's proven to be a reliable innings-eater the last few seasons. He would make sense for the Red Sox as a back-end rotation stabilizer. We'll see.
