Yeah but thinking boone is the main problem here is a horrible take. The bats constantly putting up fewer than 4 runs is. He can't go out there and hit. Of course he would be the fall guy which is cool but let's not sit here act like this is really on him. This is a cashman/players issue for the most part.

Excuse me but bullshit.

He's the worst in game manager in baseball. No feel for situations and no ability to look beyond the present situation-a chess player he is not.

Last night, with his defensive moves he left himself with Cabrera as the only lefty bat off the bench in the 9th inning. I don't think the concept of a double switch even occurred to him, which is EXACTLY the problem with having this clown as manager.

Lol give me a break. He's a mediocre manager for sure but players and roster construction is the bigger issue here. Of course you would blame Boone and not the offense for last night and also the errors in the 6th.

The players are never at fault to you.

18 games this month with 3 runs or less but it is all Boone fault lmfao

I do think Boone is a rather underwhelming manager but I don't think he's to blame for the lineup being dogshit. The only four hitters with an wRC+ above 100 in the last 30 days are Judge (194), Donaldson (116), Benintendi (106) and Rizzo (103). DJ has a 46 wRC+ and Gleyber has a 35 wRC+. Hicks has a 19 wRC+ though he isn't an every day player. So Judge has pretty much carried the offense. Getting Stanton back can only help, but even he's had an underwhelming year (.221/.305/.471, 119 OPS+).

My point is good managers weather the storm, manage to steal a few when no one's hitting.

Instead, they're 10-17 in their last 27 one run games. I see that, I blame the guy making the decisions.

Call me crazy.

5 consecutive series wins versus decent teams (@Tor, Bos, Chi, @Hou, @Cle)

I keep waiting for the bubble to burst on this team picked to finish 30th out of 30 in the pre-season power rankings.

Xander is on fire. For all he's been dealing with and the relative lack of power, his 136 wRC+ right now is only 5 points from his career high (141 in 2019).

Went to see the Delmarva Shorebirds last night (I know, not really pertaining to the AL East per se) but thought that Jackson Holliday looked good last night. He was a few feet from hitting one out of the park in the 9th. Wouldn't be the least bit shocked to see him start next year in Aberdeen. Our pitching down in Delmarva however, was not impressive at all and needs a lot of work.
