Judge is having an amazing year, but Booney batting him leadoff is hilarious.

I don't see the problem with it. Only real leadoff type they have is DJ and he has been struggling. Judge is a high OBP guy and why not try to get as many at bats for your best hitter as possible?

The Yankees had an easy schedule, all others sucked . Now they suck. Pretty simple . Look for the braves to possible repeat, the dodgers to repeat disappointment , and the stros to poss still one back… all others , suck, Mets good pitching don’t know if they have clutch hitters in PS play…

Just a greater possibility he comes up with nobody on base, I suppose. And, since the Yankees have 2 runs(on 2 Judge solo homers) this weekend, reality supports this theory.

That’s what I’m taking about, though. Solo homers instead of a chance to hit with guys on base.

This was a recent change. Considering DJ is 2-32 he wouldn't have been on base anyway

Outside of the 1st inning, you have zero control over this

Damn. Didn’t realize Lemahieu has been that cold. You have to have at least try a decent OBP guy in front of Judge, though. If he’s always batting with the bases empty, you are doing the other team a huge favor.

Well that’s just it. He’s guaranteed to bat with the bases empty in the first inning. After that, he’s coming up after the likes of Kiner-Falefa, Hagashioka and Hicks. Are those guys going to get on base much ahead of Judge?

Doing the other team a favor.....
