I would doubt too many teams have blown a 15.5 game lead. I’m sure there are some examples, but I can’t recall a case like that.
Red Sox blew a 14 game lead in late July in 1978…..

Judge is having an amazing year, but Booney batting him leadoff is hilarious.

Lol. I said “I can’t recall”. Thankfully I am not old enough to remember ‘78!!!Red Sox blew a 14 game lead in late July in 1978…..
Just a greater possibility he comes up with nobody on base, I suppose. And, since the Yankees have 2 runs(on 2 Judge solo homers) this weekend, reality supports this theory.I don't see the problem with it. Only real leadoff type they have is DJ and he has been struggling. Judge is a high OBP guy and why not try to get as many at bats for your best hitter as possible?
That’s what I’m taking about, though. Solo homers instead of a chance to hit with guys on base.Lead-off HR

Damn. Didn’t realize Lemahieu has been that cold. You have to have at least try a decent OBP guy in front of Judge, though. If he’s always batting with the bases empty, you are doing the other team a huge favor. This was a recent change. Considering DJ is 2-32 he wouldn't have been on base anyway
Well that’s just it. He’s guaranteed to bat with the bases empty in the first inning. After that, he’s coming up after the likes of Kiner-Falefa, Hagashioka and Hicks. Are those guys going to get on base much ahead of Judge?Outside of the 1st inning, you have zero control over this
neither is he it was never more than 10Lol. I said “I can’t recall”. Thankfully I am not old enough to remember ‘78!!!
