His presence alone changes everything

He can bat .190 and pitchers still have to be careful knowing he could destroy a game with one swing

I think if Stanton's hammy is relatively healthy, they need to look at having Gary DH 3-4 times a week.

Minus Judge I totally agree

Having Romine in the lineup pains me less than Shane Robinson or Neal Walker ever playing RF or batting Righty

Serious question, cause I've seen so much of this over the years

At what point do you stop treating guys like Neal Walker and Aaron Hicks as switch hitters?

Nothing sucks like hearing how bad a player is from one side of the plate, and I wonder, why the hell does he keep batting from that side than?

Don't ya think both those guys are probably better from the left side even against lefties?

I'm with you. Almost automatic outs hitting righty.

I had always heard that Hicks was an incredible golfer-best MLB player supposedly. Last night on the ESPN broadcast they said he swings righty, which stunned me. He sure can't hit a baseball righty.

If you would have never made the bigs batting only from your weaker side, than you should never bat from that side in the bigs

This season Hicks still has an OPS over .800 as a righty. He has a higher batting average as a righty than savior Gary Sanchez.

You guys complain a lot.

Hicks has 8 homers in 113 ABs as a righty

Dirty Sanchez as 14 homers in 245 ABs as a righty.

Pop quiz: who is homering at a better rate? i.e. who this season has a better chance of "destroying the game with the one swing"?

Meh. In 133 PA as a righty, he's got 24 hits. 20 of those 24 were for extra bases, so that's pumping up his slugging. His BA and OBP as a righty are horrific.

Beyond his right handed shortcomings, looking at his splits-these jumped out at me:

Late and close .149/.239/.230

High Leverage .182/.304/.291

Yanks winning .320/.453/.627

Yanks losing .205/.340/.325

That sounds about right, unfortunately.

Reading this morning that one of the delays on Judge is he had an adverse reaction to a cortisone shot which caused his wrist to swell.

Holy crap do they need him back stat.

Hopefully they'll have Sanchez and Didi for the west coast swing. Judge not until mid-September.
Is that what they call it now in NY? Cortisone:rolleyes2:
