Happ is a lock for 6 innings of 2 run ball

You sign for that on that dreaded day come October?

Yeah, I'll take that, but I think you've got a better shot at it with Tanaka-san than Happ. Rested Tanaka could also go out there and spin a 3 hit shutout. Happ's not gonna do that.

All that said, I was very opposed to making a deal for Happ, and he has proven me completely wrong. 5-0 with a 2.37 ERA? Where would they be without that?

I don't trust Lynn a bit, but Happ is a pro, guy just knows how to pitch. Buck couldn't stop praising him yesterday, saying the best pitch in baseball is the perfectly located fastball and Happ is a master at it

Happ was a steady hand for Toronto. Good to see he's doing well for the Yankees.

"There was greatness in both dugouts on that autumn day at Fenway in 1978, and each team needed the other to define itself. The result was as rich and juicy a sports story as two teams were ever destined to write together... until October of 2004 that is"

Ha!

That was actually a really good book, when it was about soccer.

They completely butchered it in the adaptation- I think it came out shortly after '04, and the producers clearly wanted to capitalize. I'm sure they made budget on Red Sox Nation's dollars alone.

Actually, they had to rewrite the ending bc of what happened in 04. Fallon and Barrymore were on the field for the WS win against St Louis. I remember during the 04 series a network reporter caught up with Fallon and Tom Hanks at Fenway and the reporter asked jimmy about the movie he was “working on”. Fallon went on to say that it’s about the Red Sox fans and how they stay loyal even though they never win it all but they may have to “re-write the ending on the fly”. Haha

Reading this morning that one of the delays on Judge is he had an adverse reaction to a cortisone shot which caused his wrist to swell.

Holy crap do they need him back stat.

Hopefully they'll have Sanchez and Didi for the west coast swing. Judge not until mid-September.

Boone does things that makes me crazy

Allowing Kyle Higoshima to swing at ball 4 last night was the game ender

Yeah, that was just terrible. Guy had completely lost the strike zone and they let him off the hook.

Letting both he and Torryes bat there was criminal

As bad as Gardner, or even Bird are, they are both guys that have decent command of the strike zone

Torryes and Hiroshima are literally not Major League Baseball players

Furthermore, Tyler Wade should be on this roster, athleticism alone makes him a better option that both Torryes and Walker

Sanchez 2-4 last night in AAA. Hit a bomb on the first pitch he saw. Supposedly he's lost 20Lbs.

It's something!

His presence alone changes everything

He can bat .190 and pitchers still have to be careful knowing he could destroy a game with one swing
