"There was greatness in both dugouts on that autumn day at Fenway in 1978, and each team needed the other to define itself. The result was as rich and juicy a sports story as two teams were ever destined to write together."

FWIW, According to Sparky Lyle, to a man, every Yankee said the best team they played all year (including the Royals and Dodgers) were the Red Sox.

Ha!

That was actually a really good book, when it was about soccer.

They completely butchered it in the adaptation- I think it came out shortly after '04, and the producers clearly wanted to capitalize. I'm sure they made budget on Red Sox Nation's dollars alone.

In the looking for a bright spot into a pretty bleak weekend department, Michael Chavis is tearing it up in AAA. Wonder if they bring him up in September.

Yup. Sox probably over due for a change. Will be interesting how Cora handles this latest adversity and more importantly if the team actually responds.

i don't know about soccer, but I do remember that Jimmy Fallon said they had to go back and redo the end of that movie. It was originally written with the Six losing

I think he's really good from where I'm sitting

Especially if he's behind the handling of Sale, which will serve them very well in a month

That was a Farrelly brothers movie? I had no idea. That was even worse than Stuck on You.

I have the most confidence in Tanaka on extra rest.

Then probably CC.

Happ is a lock for 6 innings of 2 run ball

You sign for that on that dreaded day come October?
