I want the magic number at ZERO before I count out the Yanks. Their lineup, especially healthy, scares me.

Maybe so, but their pitching is not very scary at all.

It's kind of funny that some people have brought up the 78 Red Sox team in this thread, because that's what this year's Yankee team reminds me of. Much like the Bosox in 78, these Yankees are freakin softball team, as in, they hit a bunch of homers, score a lot of runs and don't really do anything else really well.

P.S. Aaron Boone is a dickbag and I hope the Yankees give him a lifetime contract.

Did everyone forget 2011 all ready? No way the division is won in august lots of baseball left:suds:

Long way to go. But the Red Sox are in a commanding situation. They are the best team in baseball with the best record in baseball.

Certainly they could take a dip in form. Obviously Eovaldi isn't Cy Young and the starting staff isn't likely to maintain their 1.65 ERA since the All Star break.

But this is a strong team with very few holes. Barring serious injury it would be very surprising if this team didn't win 105 games.

Still a ways out from the playoffs

But I think Tanaka has to be the Yanks WC game starter

That would seem to be a given, but they need to start hitting and pitching if they are to even get to the WC game.

The division isn't sewn up by any means. But, it sure is fun watching one team go in reverse.

Mookie:yes:

1-0 the good guys.

Come on boys. Nothing sweeter than a clean sweep in August.

It is a minor slump for the bats. This isn't some extended cold streak for the bats.

It is weird to see a player with the same name as you have on your favorite team.

But damn couldn't he look like something other then a human bobble head

Nice to see the Yankees finally put up a crooked number, but why do I feel like it might not be enough

Buster saying the same thing I said about Tanaka starting in big games over Sevy.

I'm sure Nava is somewhere around to bring up useless regular season numbers and use that as a reason why Tanaka should not start
