I'm ok with sitting Sanchez, but be prepared for an automatic out in Romine
Sanchez is batting .188
If that's not an automatic out then idk what is.

I'm fine with it
Aaron Hicks lost them that game
Sanchez is in a hit or lose situation
Hicks could have done a lot of different things to tie that game
He's not an every day baseball player
I said it at the beginning of this thread....The guy is just lazy, doesn't look like a guy that really gives a shit about anything....Tremendous talent - yes, great arm - yes, lazy at everything he does - yesHicks got hot for awhile, and entrenched himself in the middle of the line-up. Bird is hitting, but seems locked into the bottom of the order. Boone needs to do a better job reading these guys and adjusting based on how they're actually producing.
And all I want from Sanchez is to f*cking hustle. No more, no less.
let the excuses begin
Jon Heyman of FanCred Sports hears that Gary Sanchez might have aggravated his groin injury during Monday's game.
In fact, Heyman hears that it happened on the much-discussed passed ball during Monday's game. Sanchez said after the game that he was over the injury, but Heyman hears that he was initially afraid to tell the team after his miscues, perhaps because it would serve as a convenient excuse. Either way, Sanchez will now receive treatment in hopes of avoiding another stint on the disabled list.
I think the Yanks just have to accept that Sanchez isn't really a catcher...even though it is tough to figure where else he fits in on the team they have now.
Makes me think of Cliff Johnson, another giant righthanded hitter who could just pound the ball and got screwed over because teams kept trying to pretend he was a catcher early in his career when he really wasn't.
Not that I particularly like the Yanks or want them to do well, but the best thing any team could do with Sanchez is hide him at DH, 1B, or (maybe) LF and let him hit.
Hmmmmm.....Jan 30thThere has been some serious talk about removing the blindfold from Sanchez's head this season.....I mean, he was just so painful at times....Cliff Johnson had better skills back there.....

Arod was obviously a big, strong guy, but Tek was an on field leader who was built like a coke machine propped on oak trunk legs with a temper like an Irishman who hasn't had a potato in a week nor whiskey in a month...should have started something with Pokey Reese, instead.14 years ago...
Lots of talk that ill fated day......Steeladamus
Whoa...I just got chills up and down my spine...Hmmmmm.....Jan 30th
My next prediction is a very strong chance of drunkenness tonight.....Steeladamus
Good point, if Sanchez develops as a hitter he's good at 1B/DH but a world beater at C.Problem is he loses a ton of his value if you move him. Lots of DHs and 1B hit like Sanchez (when he's right), not many catchers do.
But it's clearer and clearer that one of the reasons he's not really improving that much as a blocker of pitches is because he's half-assed back there.
I remember Cliff. He could hit, but the biggest damage he did to the Yankees was when Gossage broke his thumb punching him in the head.
