It's been 15 or 16 years now counting CBS.
Yeah. I was thinking about this the other day. I started posting in 2006 or 2007, and there were already a bunch of people posting who are still around. Hard to believe it’s probably approaching 20 years for some.

Gunnar > Soto.

Judge is on another level though.
If we factor in money, sure. But Soto is a generational talent. Given his age, he might be the first guy you take in the whole league if you are starting a team.

Henderson looks legit and looks like a star, but let’s see him do it for 2-3 years before we put him on Soto’s level.

If you throw out Soto’s stats and have a brain like Biden…..sure

Talking about the old Sportsline boards? I was on those in 2003 and 2004 during high school, until I found other forums like this. My first big one was SportsRumorMill.

Great way to come out of the All-Star break, taking 2 out of 3 from the Rangers on the road, with strong starts from Burnes, Rodriguez and even one from Dean Kremer despite the loss today. That is encouraging after struggling in both starts last week Bullpen performed well, offense did well Friday and Saturday.

The next 10 days will be interesting to watch as far as trades go.

Both Gunnar and Soto are top players in the game, but if you are taking fielding out of it and talking purely hitting……many advanced metrics have Soto just above Gunnar.

It has been a long time since we’ve seen as advanced of a hitter as Soto, and he’s not even 26 yet.
Since neither is a DH, its pretty clear that Gunnar > Soto.

Didn’t even know bud showed back up since Baltimore was on a 3 game win streak prior to the game today lol not surprising at all

I was in two places at once, choochi: on vacation and living rent free in your two-cent head.

I’ll make sure to let you know when I wont be posting for a while next time…

Yes! Many of the people on here got their start on the CBS Sportsline boards. Those boards got shut down and many migrated here. It sounds like you might have been one of the originals if you go back to 2002-2003!

Jarren Duran is awesome
He’s somehow become an MVP candidate out of nowhere this year(nowhere near Judge’s level, but the next tier down). He’s one of the best players to watch that I can recall. Just a bundle of aggression and talent. Glad they didn’t trade him for pennies on the dollar in the past.

Wow, small world. Feels like coming full circle……not that I remember any specific names from back then.
