Verdugo and LeMahieu with the same career arc. Both had their career year in 2020 and have gotten worse every year since.

Hey Verdugo-- tie your cleats before going out to play the field... HAHAHAHA-- classic. O's MAGIC baby-- can't stop us. This one inning/game will propel the Orioles to a championship and the Skankees to their demise...

…..you did watch the other two games in the series right? It’s not all doom and gloom here, but the Orioles have some stuff to work on, and our GM needs to improve the pitching.

Not at all meant to troll you after this loss, but that’s why they play the games. It’s absurd stuff sometimes, what happens in this game.

I mean, it’s nearly 30 years later and Jeffrey Maier is still a forbidden name In my household.
I’m more mad at Holmes than the other 2 clowns. Things like this unfortunately happens when you continuously allow traffic on the bases in your save chances

No shame on his game. Baltimore goes 1-5 this week and he shows up after the lone win lol

@chillerdab you can come out as well. This is a safe space and I don’t bite

And Montgomery falls to the Sox in the draft. Nice.
A SWITCH HITTER BUT WILL CORA STILL PLATOON HIM :suds:

Red Sox selected Texas A&M OF Braden Montgomery with the No. 12 pick of the 2024 MLB Draft.
Montgomery spent his first two years at Stanford and put up strong numbers as a Cardinal, but things escalated in his year with the Aggies as seen in 27 homers and a .322/.454/.733 slash over 295 plate appearances. He’s a switch-hitter with big-time power in his bat, and he’s a patient hitter who is willing to draw free passes. He does have some contact issues so he may be more of an on-base play more than a hitter who provides a high average. He’s also only an average runner who isn’t likely to steal a huge number of bases. Montgomery also will be coming off a broken right ankle, but assuming good health, he’s one of the better power players from this draft class.

Fucking little league shitshow

Been watching this team for a long time, that might have been the most inept ending to a game I've seen. At least tied with the Andy Hawkins losing no-hitter.

I'm shocked they didn't select a SS but this should be a great pick! Assuming he can remain healthy and his knee (I know he was hurt) is ok

Seemed to me like he was the obvious pick at #12 (would have been higher, but I guess teams had some pause about the ankle injury/contact). I wouldn't have minded Rainier or Griffin, but I'm happy with this pick. Sox have infield prospects and Mayer will likely be in AAA very soon.

And while we're talking prospects, Kristian Campbell's still hitting .407/.507/.627 in AA. The breakout reminds me of Mookie's breakout in the minors

Yes they do have Mayer but I am just basing this off the last few drafts where they went SS heavy

Just imagine how we would feel if that led to Baltimore sweeping us or winning the series. Them winning the first 2 made it feel slightly better but now it puts too much pressure on us for tiebreakers in the final series as we must sweep to win the H2H
