The Rays suck. Quality rotation with no offense, plus they only win at home. Shitty team IMO.

I agree.

The Rays actually had a 107 OPS+ last year (so they're above average offensively) and finished .500 or better on the road each of the past 4 years, but don't let the facts get in your way!

How much of that OPS is from Longoria!? LOL

Question: How often do the Rays score the least amount of runs among teams in the AL East?
Answer: 9 times out of 10

Quality pitching and shitty offense. I stand by my original post :yahoo:

Of the 11 players with 250+ plate appearances for the Rays last year, 8 of them had an OPS+ above league average.

And I see you conceded your argument that they 'only win at home' considering the last time they finished under .500 on the road was back in 2009.

This forum thing isn't for you if you're just going to make crap up and hope no one picks up on it.

The Yankees need more young studs on the team. Age is showing on guys like Jeter and CC. I do foresee a deep playoff run this season for the Bronx Bombers.

The Jays have no team chemistry, lots of talent but no chemistry. They'll finish in 4th or last place again.

The homeless looking slobs from Boston will probably win the wild card since the Yanks will have an 8 game lead by September 20th.

The O's are still in rebuilding phase but definitely going in the right direction. I enjoy going to Camden Yards every year to watch my Yankees win.

Quality post! This website needs more of this.

The lack of humor and sarcasm get boring. I love when people pretend to be mentally handicapped Yankee fans. Very nice job.

Remember Flynn0203? He was a Cubs fan pretending to be a Yankees fan. Before robust, you could see his posts on the Cubs board. Lol.

How many more chances do you give Bradley in Boston, before he is labeled a bust?

he turns 24 next month and he has only 107 major league PA. but yeah, some of the shine around Bradley has worn off.

Good greif. He's 23. He only played in the ML for 37 games last year.

He is next in line if Grady gets hurt. And, he'll do fine. (He's not Bogaerts, but he is quite good)

He'll be full time by next year.

Honest question. We keep hearing about great he is going to be, but then he gets sent down again. I am not saying he is a bust right now, I am asking at what point do you as a Sox fan label him a bust.

The first post about the DL was a joke.

Certainly more than 37 games.

He was drafted not even 3 years ago...it's not like he's been in the Sox system since he was 17 and took him forever to make it up to the bigs/AAA

Yes you give him more time but how much?

He started last year with the Sox and started off well. But did not adjust once the league adjusted to him. This year the Sox all but gave him the CF job, and he had a miserable Spring.

To me he is right now in that area where he could still be good, but as Navamind said the shine is starting to wear off.

It's called a smack talk thread for a reason. There will be some trash talk going back and forth throughout the year. No need to get your panties in a bunch

We will find out about Bradley soon enough. Its a tough demotion but well deserved. There is no question he has the physical talent, but can he be trained to have the mental talent. Sox have options with their farm system too, others are bubbling up................the kid needs to calm down and get his patience back.

Lurk more, post less.

I like that you call the rays offense shitty, but you don't say the same thing about the yankees offense. The same offense that was 10th in the AL in runs and 13th in OPS and lost a 2nd baseman with an OPS+ of 145 last year.

You must be mentally handicap if you're going to sit here and dissect last season's Yankee lineup that was loaded with triple A fill ins from top to bottom. I mean really, are you playing stupid or being silly?

Loney: 118 OPS+
Zobrist: 113 OPS+

Myers: 132 OPS+

How much of the Yankees' OPS was from Cano? LOL

It was all Cano. Team Cano if you will. He led all major batting stats last season for NY:

- batting avg
- hits
- RBI's
- HR's
- OBP
- doubles
- OPS

Of the 11 players with 250+ plate appearances for the Rays last year, 8 of them had an OPS+ above league average.

You want facts and accurate stats to munch on? Open wide because I have a mouthful for you:

2010-2013 Rays @home vs Yankees went 23-13 for 63.9 win %
'............. ' Rays away vs Yankees went 18-19 for 48.6 win %

2000-2009 Rays @home vs Yankees went 38-52 for 42.2 win %
'............. ' Rays away vs Yankees 26-62 for 29.5 win %

Overall 1998-2013
Rays win % @home vs NYY 63-75 45.7
Rays win % on the road vs NYY 47-90 34.3

Still hungry? I have more stats about the Rays lackluster performance on the road to backup my original statement.
Your move Stan. :yahoo:
