Breslow's been awful this year. Even his success last year was a mirage (1.81 ERA, but he had a 3.60 FIP, 4.37 xFIP, and 5.0 K/9. His FIP is 4.10 this year, but his xFIP is 5.23. He seemed like a ticking time bomb in the playoffs last year.

Had a feeling the back half of this 4 game set vs the Jays would be stronger for the O's. Strange thing is, I had a more confident feeling with Norris on the mound than Tillman, who's scheduled to pitch today. I have no idea WHAT to expect from him now. Could be anything from a 7 inning 8 K gem to a 5.1 inning 5 ERs allowed kinda game.

(As long as our incisors are sharp for the upcoming Yankees series, that's all I care about. Fresh Yankee meat, so tender!)
