Make that 19, and now head to Tampa to face a team on a roll. The Orioles have now allowed five or more runs in 18 straight games, the second-longest streak in the past 100 years. The 1924 Phillies did it in 20 consecutive games.
Hopefully Dumpster Diving Dan decides to sell at the trade deadline instead of trying to go for it this year with this abysmal starting pitching staff.
back tied for 1st yanks start a new losing streakIt is now. Sox back in 2nd place where they belong.

Yea this..this is bad.5 runs allowed in the 2nd
If you are going to break a record, you might as well get it done early
20 straight games allowing at least 5 runs, most ever in the live ball integrated era
Tommorow they can eclipse the dead ball era/pre-integration record as well
Go OS!
I'm hoping this thing doesn't end until there are some serious changes made to this team, whether it's selling at the trade deadline, getting rid of Dumpster Dan (preferably) and/or something else.5 runs allowed in the 2nd

I believe that the roster was a majority of Andy MacPhail's doing and what he did made things a lot easier for Dan. And while Dan has been here, he has filled in things by rule 5 and waiver wire transactions mostly. Also, when he does make trades, more often than not, they haven't worked out in our favor (I will defend the trade for Miller as he was a great addition). But most of those trades have killed our minor league teams (as evidenced by there being nobody in Norfolk that's close to being ready for the majors pitching wise). Sure, we've developed some guys here and there (Mancini being the most recent). The main problem is that while the most of the players from our minors that stick are offensive players. We haven't really developed a solid starter since Mussina. Bundy is still to be determined in my opinion.Dan was able to put together a roster of non-stars and castoffs that has been competitive for a few years.
You can argue that this group wildly overachieved relative to their talent levels.
It was a fun 5 year run with high character likeable community active players without much egos.
They are just now 31 and 32 year old players....instead of 27 and 28 year old players.
It is not a dumpster fire of bad decisions at the major league level.
It is a franchise that cannot develop any players in the minor leagues.
The big league team is managed well. The Bush league teams have been embarassing for decades.
The ORIOLES minor leagues have been dead last in the league for nearly 30 years running.
Yup, no one over .500 in the AL East in that span. Rays and Red Sox get the Orioles and Angels at home, both lose 2 out of 3.Yanks 2-10 in their last 12.....still in first
