Sale has just been ridiculous so far. It's nice to see a highly touted player come into Boston and play at such a high level immediately. Kinda like Manny when he first joined the Sox in 2001. He had a line of .414/.497/.769 on May 23. Manny finished at a mere .306/.405/.609. As much as I love Lester, Sale might be the most exciting pitcher in a Sox uniform since Pedro. He's not my favorite player, but he is just unhittable. It's a thing of beauty watching him pitch.
Bad start for the Jays, but I wouldn't write them off just yet. The 2011 Red Sox started 2-10, but they were 83-52 and in first at the end of August. Yes they missed the playoffs, but that had more to do with them completely shitting the bed in September. That being said, the Jays offense is a pretty big issue.
I also like what I've seen from Pomeranz so far (small sample size), though he did throw a few pretty bad pitches on Sunday. Defense fucked him over though (Benintendi should have caught that ball in the first inning).
Severino's been pretty impressive. Pineda should have a strong year, but I think he gives up too much hard contact to be an ace-caliber pitcher.
lol, creeptardees line ups are real head scratchers..... its great that EVERYONE is contributing, but sooner then later that will end, and when it does, its going to be fugly..
