Getting mad at losses is very very different than saying your team sucks and they have no chance and one of the worst teams in the baseball lolzz

*getting mad at blowing an 11.5 game lead is different than one loss

Lolz

Tough loss and Berrios didn't look good against Betts. I don't know if that second home run that Mookie hit has landed yet.

Cleveland fans, what's with Hand lately? Overworked? If he can't be counted on to close out the White Sox, then he probably shouldn't be the closer anymore.

I'm not talking trash. I'm well aware of the Twins pitching issues.

I was commenting/asking on your situation with your closer who, up until a few weeks ago, was a bonafide stud.
I was responding to mr hockey who suggested the Indians should hang it up due to their pitching.

Uhhhhhh I was talking about the Twins pitching staff lmao.

Gotcha. That makes more sense.

I was confused because the first sentence you mentioned the Indians, so when you mentioned "this team" in the second sentence, I didn't realize you'd switched the subject to the Twins.

Mea culpa.

20-32 vs over .500

That makes the twins 27-32 look legendary

Overall, they've not been good against .500+ teams this year, particularly early in the season, but the statement "Fact of the matter is the Indians are a fucking dreadful baseball team vs teams with a pulse" is hyperbolic nonsense.

They have a combined winning record against the three best teams in the league.

Who knows. If it keeps up he will be dealt in the offseason lol

No excuses.

Twins had to bat Ehrie Adrianza in the 5 spot yesterday.

And the Yanks have been ravaged by injuries even more

Huh? This is the norm for CLE, it happens every year, they got to a 3-1 lead on the Cubs with two SP's out and their best hitter out the entire year. This is just icing on the cake.
Literally everything is going right for the Twins. Best offense we have seen in decades. Top 10 pitching staff (even though you say pitching is horrible LOL). The fact the Twins weren't really expected to do much this year and they are playing this well, Twins fans should be ecstatic. But no, all hear about is how bad this team is, how they need to let Rosario go, the pitching sucks, etc. If there is a fan that doesn't appreciate what he has...it's you.

The Indians don't have half their rotation for the entire year, more injuries all throughout the year, first Lindor, now Ramirez...Naquin, everyone is gone. It's kinda sad the Twins haven't already wrapped this up...especially since they are on a record HR tear. To be 5 down with the shit the Indians have gone through...I am feeling pretty great bc honestly I would think they would be around .500 really shows how great Tito is as a manager tbh. They still have talent and young guys emerge but to be where they are I couldn't be happier....you on the other hand with the Twins 30+ over .500...still bitching.

Btw...the Yankees have the 3rd highest payroll in the majors at 217M lol. Cleveland is well below average, injuries are going to hurt them A LOT more plus they can just buy guys at the deadline while the Indians sell and shrinken their payroll.

Brad Hand - 2016 through Aug 8, 2019
240 IP - 2.62 ERA - 12.3 K/9

Since Aug 8, 2019
8 IP - 10.13 ERA - 7.9 K/9

I have two theories:

  1. He's injured
  2. The Aug 9th 24th anniversary of Jerry Garcia's death hit him particularly hard

Yeah it’s our pitching that blows ass. It started good but simply in shambles at this points. Pineda is our goddamn ace.

But unless we collapse or you all really take us behind the head to head woodshed.

You’ll be doing a 1 game do or die against a team not among those 3.

Also, I was just alluding to the fact that overall record is the reason they are currently behind the Twins

Wait, so it’s “sad” the twins haven’t wrapped up the division. But we can’t bitch about the fact we haven’t wrapped it up? Lmao logic.

Woah. Missed Lindor for two weeks to start the year.

Cruz has missed 37 games

Buxton has missed half the year(look at our stats without him)

Cron IL twice.

Rosario a long stint out and another smaller stint.

Garver has had two injury issues

Schoop had a stint.

Sano missed like quadruple what Lindor missed to start the year.

We have literally had almost every big bat go on long stints sans Kepler who has had periodic knee issues.

You referenced 3 goddamn position players. 1 who missed the very start. And the other two who just got hurt. One of them when you were already down 5 games a couple days ago.

Yeah, we got so lucky with injuries.

Fact is we have roster depth. You just have pitching depth(it is great tho).

I agree. At this point, I'm hopeful they'll be able to hang on to a Wild Card slot. It's entirely possible that they could be doing a do-or-die game 163.

In theory, they could potentially play four games (two of which would be do-or-die) against four different opponents, in four different cities, over the course of five days. That would be fucking mayhem.
