Wouldn't surprise me in the least bit to see Scherzer at or near the top for the Cy Young again this year. He seems to have found out how to correct his delivery issues much quicker than in the past.

He struggled in his bullpen session with arm slot and again in the 1st inning. The Royals bailed him out by swinging at a 3-0 pitching and grounding into a double play. From then on out -- he was the same Max as last year.

I'd love to say Verlander is the staff ace, but honestly, I think Scherzer has passed him up now and if Detroit had one game they needed to win -- I would probably go with Scherzer.

Don't forget that out 3 run 3rd was due to a strikeout on wild pitch and an error to get two on.

Then the bases clearing double was generous as it went through Garcia and he didn't "touch" it.

It really was a comedy. But we won!!!
