Living in chicago i hate the sox more than any other team......harrelson is the biggest crybaby in sports. He might have a heart attack this year. They got old quick and have a crappy farm system. Kenny williams really screwed them the last few years...peavy, rios, and dunn....held on to konerko too long. But hey, i love it.

Funny I would have the same order substituting the Tigers for the Twins if not for people like dougiie and miamivice but because of those idiots the Royals and Tribe would be listed above the Tigers, when I lived in Michigan I actually liked the Tigers (aside from when they played the Twins) So now it would be

White Sox

I'm a Tigers fan, but with mr.hockey on this one. Buckholz is clearly the front-runner. 9-0 like Scherzer, but with a 1.71 ERA. Darvish (7-2, 2.75, league-leading 118 Ks) and Iwakuma (7-1, 1.79 ERA) next in line, then Max.

Still a few starts left for each before Leyland has to decide.

Looking at the matchup for this afternoon's game in KC -- Verlander vs. Shields. Man, I thought Anibal Sanchez was getting crummy run support this year, but then I noticed Shields with a 2.81 ERA and only 2-6. Ouch!

Hard to fathom that JV is no longer the team's #1. Scherzer and Sanchez ahead of him. And Fister has numbers pretty much equivalent to Verlander's. I know I don't share most Detroiter's opinion that Verlander has just had a stretch of sub-par starts (sub-par for him)....I think this is what we get from Verlander moving forward. He'll be a good pitcher but his 'dominating' games will be few and far between. His velocity is down and usually that is something you don't get back, as you move into your 30s.

His defense has been shaky... His only major value to the Tigers right now is his batting average and clubhouse presence... Twins win again. Nice little comeback. 4 in a row at home and 6/7 now. Going for the sweep against Lee tomorrow. Not likely, but we'll see.
