Great to see Guthrie up to 14-10, much better than 12-11...that made the year already, just knowing he will end up with most likely 14 to 16 wins, with Shields vs Kazmir...a very good chance at the series...

This is how I feel every true fan feels: 1. Making the playoffs-good accomplishment, even better if it has been awhile. 2. Win a playoff game-great accomplishment, but not satisfied. 3. Win the AL (NL)--enough said 4. But really all else fails if you don't win a WS--that is just how it is. But don't get me wrong WS appearances and ALCS's (NLCS's) are great, just not the ultimate goal for a fan/player/coach.

Take one step at a time. It has been a while since Indians made the playoffs, but I have also seen them play in two WS's coming up literally just short. So itis mixed feelings, but for now payoffs is all I am thinking.

The Tigers fans just felt that "getting to the playoff" win in '06, even getting to a WS, most likely very similar to what PITT could do this season.....since then, they just keep floundering in the clutch...6 years of not taking the next step, could be 7 after this year. Looks a LOT like the Indians of the 90's...strange that the Tigers have also played to two WS's coming up, well not just short...they were pretty decisive.

Pitt, Bal, Det and Tex have a chance at breaking their longer droughts this year...could be a big party that hasn't been seen in over 29 years for 4 teams this year.

Interesting fact: People have been saying Prince is not "clutch" this year. Yes, his BA and OBP are down, but he's about to have his 6th season of 100+ RBI, batting behind a guy who regularly cleans the bases in front of him. And just for fun, I looked up his batting average with RISP, and it's .285 this season. Ho-hum, right? Well, his career BA with RISP is .284. He is who we thought he is.

WC still within reach. Re: division - hate to say it but KC has a much better record against the Tigs than the Tribe does. Your guys take the next series against them, they lose a few more along the way, Tribe & KC keep winning series - who knows. They arent that much farther ahead for the div to be a lock
