Well -- that was about as ugly a game as I've seen in a long time. It looked like Boston was taking batting practice.

Porcello continues his roller coaster season by getting bombed for 9 runs (8 earned). It is crazy how a guy can go from a 8.84 ERA in April, to 3.13 in May, to 5.19 in June, to 2.08 in July, to 4.29 in August and now, lord knows what September will end up.

I want so bad for him to become a quality starter, but I just don't see it.

Since someone can gloat after his first "win"....the Tigers in 43 years have like 2 losses a season average than the Royals...guess anybody can be right 1 out of 40 times...

The Tigers put up THAT game....holy cow....Oakland first puts a stomping to them....now Boston just crushes them....guess the Tigers aren't playing Houston, Minn and White Sox anymore...

Those above .500 teams are tough....

Porcello might see 250 losses, lol.....and the bullpen once again was just like gas on a fire....

Cleveland handled Baltimore, Oakland crushed Tex too...they are just looking on FIRE

Royals can't put that many innings on the bullpen...they need to rest them Thursday anyway......I should get some sun at tommorrows game...

A loss counts the same if its one run or sixteen... who cares... day off tomorrow... when its all said and done.. tigers still have a commanding 6.5 game lead with 22 games to go... they can go .500 for the rest of the year.. and the Indians would have to win 18/23 to win the division... good luck with that.

Good lord I hate Avila!

In May last year, at CBS, I mentioned that Avila was heading along the same path as Geovany Soto. Stupidly, I mentioned it in a Tigers game glog, and was unmercifully shot down.

Wish I'd kept a copy of that glog...
