yes it does...or the Royals wouldn't lead the AL in ERA...and the Tigers would have actually won a world series...so they do matter...but usually only matter if you don't have a closer. I actually hate the Save stat....I like the Hold stat much more....and QS over W...but to each their own.

QS is a horrendously flawed stat as well, which needs to be revised....a guy who goes 9 innings and allows 4 ER doesn't get a QS, while a guy who goes 6 innings allowing 3 runs does, even though the guy with the 9 inning performance had a better ERA

Not following. Where did the Royals finish in the division last year? Or were you mocking a team that won the division, won a Divisional Series, then the ALCS? The backend of the bullpen didn't determine the WS, if that's what you're getting at. Or were you just mocking that The Tigers lost the WS? (That's not really a Smack Talk strategy that makes, but I'm thinking that's what you were doing)

The Tigers pen has been EXACTly 1 of the reasons for failure, if you want to go to last year, or even before..for the Tigers...please...tell us why it HASN"T been.
