Hey Stan....so if a guy gets a WIN and goes 5 innings giving up 10 runs...that is better than a QS?....you can get WINS with a 8.00 ERA...just look up John Lackey a few years ago......QS is better guage of a pitcher than wins...whip is better than era...etc...

I'm still a fan of Curtis.(the guy, not so much the player) But his homerun uptick in NY doesn't make me forget how horrible he was against lefties. Not only did he bring Max and AJax to Detroit. Him leaving got a 7 hole hitter out of the leadoff spot. Leyland wouldn't bat him on the lower third of the order for anything. Drove me nuts.

Yeah lots of starters give up TEN over five, and get a win. Did he leave with an ELEVEN to ten advantage? C'mon dude. Nobody in the world would rather have a QS than a W. winning is the point of the game, not some stat invented by a writer. (Good intentions, rather poor statistic)

Dude.. Beltran is so overrated its not even funny... Granderson had MVP caliber seasons recently and is still only 31... Beltran is about done... In the end.. they will be about equal.. but yes.. My statement was meant to raz Roy Munson more than anything.

track I was all state in long jump, 800m, and 2 mile over the course of my freshman and junior years... didn't run my sophmore or senior years because I really didn't enjoy it.. but did it to stay in shape for basketball.. which I happened to be all state in 98 and 99. take from that what you like roy munson.
