They look to have top-end starters, bullpen and defense and at least average offense.

I just don't understand where one would see "too many holes" on that team.

The Tribes biggest issue is their clueless manager. How soon before Tito is fired & replaced w/ whoever Detroit's manager is?

After the first week of the season, nothing has surprised me ... way too early.

Cleveland:
Francona's an excellent manager, he has learned from his past and I think he will be a fixture in Cleveland for the next decade (which sucks).
Cleveland's Offense will be fine and they are still on track to win the division.

Minnesota:
I may have to rethink Minnesota, they might be better then I think.

Chicago White Sox:
The most interesting team in our division (sorry Cleveland), if they can come together early, watch out.

Kansas City:
Looking like an also run, but maybe just getting a late start.

Detroit:
Still my team, their recent years have been marred by an inexperienced manager. Gardenhire is refreshing and still hoping for 70 wins.

I think this is overblown. last year they were a top offensive team, ranking second in the AL in AVE, OBP, SLG, OPS and third in runs.

The only major difference is the swap from Santana to Alonso; which frankly I don't think is the drop off that people are making it out to be. Alonso was actually quite a bit better than Santana in 2017, and their OPS' over the last three years are 110 and 113.

If Kipnis and Brantley can bounce back, and Zimmer starts coming around, they could potentially have a better offense than they did last year.

If ifs and buts were candy and nuts, Trevor Bauer would be consistent.
