Gardenhire says he likes pressure! I think he is awesome
His 6-21 playoff record says otherwise.
This is a nice little retirement gig for him.

So....after all the deflect.. (Ohio shuffle) doesn't really matter. If tito wins 90 games. Makes play offs...who cares about a Ring!Probably have a MOY worthy season, as usual.
I'm guessing 90-95 and an AL Central Championship/playoff berth, but with how shitty the ALc is this year, I wouldn't be shocked to see them push at 100 wins again.
The MLB playoffs are often a crapshoot. The Indians have actually done pretty damn well in the playoffs the last two years. Combined for a 12-8 record. A .600 record against playoff caliber teams is nothing to sneeze at. For perspective, the 2011-2014 Detroit Tigers went 17-21 in their playoff games.
He's averaged 91+ wins per season in the five years with the Indians and has a .571 playoff W%. I'd say, barring calamity, his gig is pretty safe.
I wonder if the Tigers have ever averaged 91+ wins for five straight years? They've averaged 87 losses over the past three and with the state of the franchise, I could see them bringing that up to 90 over the next two years.

It's called the Minnesota viking syndrome.....
Fall short. But it's ok
I did not realize that the 33 seasons the Tigers have gone without a WS Championship, places them 9th among all 30 teams in the longest drought between championships. Twenty one different teams have won the World Series since 1984. Considering that it will likely be a good deal of years before the Tigers are playoff contenders...I could see that drought getting up near 40 years.
I see JDM will be hitting HRs against the Tigers in a Red Sox uni. Looks like they will be smart enough to tell him to keep his glove in his locker most games.
Hey iffy, what about 70 being more than double of 33?
Huh?
And is Better Made really better?
Im a Jays man myself. No argument...70 is sad indeed. I was just surprised that Detroit's 33 years was the 9th longest drought. And no immediate end in sight.
No Better Made is not better. Their chips are so-so, but cheap. Liked New Era potato chips as a kid.
70 is to much for him to count to. 33 years is his limit BawwwwwghhhaaaIm a Jays man myself.
Or Cape Cod if they got em. Sea Salt and Pepper kettle chips... aw man, Im hungry.
You like sheep chips? Fat sheep stacks??mmmm, kettle chips
I think Mike Fiers is the key to us finishing third.ALC....Detroit has company?
CBS currently ranks the Royals, White Sox, and Tigers, #27, #28. and #29 in their Power Rankings...ahead of only the Marlins. (I see the White Sox a little higher than #28.)
The Twins are #16 and the Indians #6 (3rd in the AL)
