My guess is it would just be a rental, not a long term deal and then he'd go to free agency. Miller and Allan are both FA's this offseason, so they may be thinking this is a very good year to go "all in."

Honestly, they could move Ramirez to 2nd, Machado to 3rd, and bench Kipnis. Replacing Kipnis' bat in the lineup with Machado's would likely make the Indians lineup the best in the bigs.

No question ... as a Tiger fan ... I say go for it ... I'd be looking for bullpen help if I were the Indians (Shane Green can be had for a decent prospect).

The bullpen has been doing better - 3.21 ERA in June, compared to 6.13 Apr/May - but I imagine some of that is they've played 16 of 18 June games against the Tigers, Twins and White Sox.

Hopefully Miller can return healthy, but regardless, a solid bullpen arm or two would be awesome.
