ERA: Verlander 1.60 (#1), Kluber 2.10 (#3)
WHIP: Verlander 0.78 (#1), Kluber 0.81 (#2)
WINS: Kluber 11 (#1), Verlander 9 (T-#3)
WIN PCT. (min. 10 decisions): Verlander .818 (#4), Kluber .786 (#5)
IP: Kluber 111.2 (#1), Verlander 107.0 (#2)
K: Verlander 130 (#3), Kluber 113 (#7)
K/BB: Kluber 9.42 (#1), Verlander 6.19 (#2)
Opp BA: Verlander .164 (#1), Kluber .194 (#6)

Shaping up to be a pretty damn good Cy Young race between these two and Severino.

My vote is the with the same kind of biased that the Tampa reporters used in 2016. 1st place for Verlander and I would leave Kluber off my ballot (even though he deserves better). I'm lying ... Kluber would be 2nd.

Of note ... both total less saves than Joe Jimenez!!

Any Royals fans left out there? You can be anonymous on here, no need for a bag over your head. At least we're doing it the right way, build up the farm system. Houston was at this point about 5 years ago. I give us 6 years to win the division again.

The Tigers, The White Sox and The Royals are all rebuilding at the same time ... could be a dog fight in about 3 years. I give the White Sox the edge ... they are loaded with talent!!!

I happen to be looking for a Royals fan for an avi bet on the upcoming series. You interested?

It's safe, I don't pick bad avis. Nothing about liking peckers or anything like that.

Hell no I'm not betting anything on the Royals this year. I will bet we will be in the World Series in 2023.

Maybe individal player bets. I will bet that Moose gets 35 dingers and 100 RBIs.

What if I give you 2-1 odds?

Or the Astros need to sweep for me to win and the Royals only need to win 2 for you to win?

White Sox are loaded with young players and prospects. Whether or not they have major league talent remains to be seen.

lolz

Royals have won the division once in the last thirty-three years. Once. They're arguably the worst team in baseball right now, but you're sure they're on a path to take the division by storm in 2023.

Seems like a long shot. Where would they put him? Maybe 3rd, and move Ramirez over to 2nd? Then what about Kip? Back to the outfield?

Would I invest in Manny Machado long term (if I were the Indians)? Nope. Can you find a place for him to play the rest of the season ... I'm sure you can. You don't need him and I wouldn't give up anything for him (If I were the Indians).

My guess is it would just be a rental, not a long term deal and then he'd go to free agency. Miller and Allan are both FA's this offseason, so they may be thinking this is a very good year to go "all in."

Honestly, they could move Ramirez to 2nd, Machado to 3rd, and bench Kipnis. Replacing Kipnis' bat in the lineup with Machado's would likely make the Indians lineup the best in the bigs.
