No problem ... I don't think you're gonna have to worry ... The Indians have had our number, but should we pull it off I'll have no problem waiting a bit ... just so you know ... I won't be coming after the Indians with the avi ... I'll hit something more worthless ... like a worthless nut!!

Fair enough. As long as it won't get me banned, anything is fair game as far as I'm concerned.

Dozier coming up. He has had to reinvent himself so it took longer than I initially expected, but he's here. But hey, on this team a lottery ticket is still a ticket even if the odds aren't good. Duda to the 10 day DL.

You cannot stop Niko Goodrum, you can only hope to contain him.

It was good enough, apparently.

This team is driving me mad.

Goodrum is like the reincarnation of Chris Shelton. Pisses me off. Guy will hit 13 HR's this year before the All-Star break and 10 will be against the Indians

Seriously, on top of the Tigers scoring 6 runs (3 off Carrasco, whom they NEVER hit) with their top four hitters all out with injuries, the Indians could only manage three hits and one run off MIKE FREAKIN' FIERS. That was a fluke for the ages last night.

Meanwhile, Minnesota fan is saying, "Didn't Niko Goodrum used to be in our system?"

Yes. Yes he did.

Niko has never hit more than .280 in the minors, nor more than 13 homers. On the plus side - he is not a bad base stealer, a switch hitter, and can play several positions. At best, I see a short career as a utility man. He's 26, so I figure by the time he is eligible for arbitration, he is talking to the Yomiuri Giants about employment in Japan.

Iffychicken I wouldn't jump to conclusions. Actually if I were you I would embrace players like him because I see about 3-4 years of it. If things work out maybe the Tigers can just move to the Japan league?

He is in the Andrew Romine mold -- multi-position player with good speed -- but with more home run power. The Tigers kept Romine around until he was 31. Niko could see a similar path if he can maintain a BA north of .230.

Read a stat today that Carrasco was 12-0 against AL Central teams with a 1.49 ERA, going back to June 11 of 2017. I guess he was overdue for a let-down, though he didn't really pitch poorly.

Well...there are already the Hanshin Tigers in the Japanese League. But Perhaps the Detroit franchise could merge with my all time favorite team, the Hiroshima Toya Carp!

Tiger win and Twins' loss on Wednesday - and the Tigers are in first place (tie).

The Tigers again get to a Cleveland pitcher that has previously owned them. Carrasco Monday, and Andrew Miller last night. Prior to last night's debacle, Miller hadn't allowed a Tiger run since joining the Indians in 2016 -- a span of 13.1 innings in which he had 20 strikeouts. Further, Miller hadn't even allowed a Tiger hit since May 3 of 2017.

Great patience, too, getting three walks off of Miller in addition to the two big hits.

This series is just plain nuts.
