I'm assuming they're gonna activate him with Mario out...

Make sure you don't just put on street clothes out of habit Jenkins!

Baalke looking like more and more of a prophet as the playoffs approach. What I don't understand about the game yesterday was that the vertical game was working, but the 49ers kept running screens. Is it just me, or does this offense never make any adjustments?

Well, I don't know if he can be a complete receiver but he seems so far to do a good job of getting behind the defense. As recently as the Patriots game, and just in the first half (haven't got to the 2nd half), Jenkins got past his guy... not by a mile, but enough where a perfectly placed pass could have meant a TD.

This was a play where, one-two- pass to LMJ in the flat, but like it or not Jenkins blazed past his guy.

Then later on, he got jammed and pushed outside but his speed still gave him a step. Then they went to VD in the space where Jenkins pulled the CB out of.

For what it is worth, Jenkins seems to be very good at getting behind the CB and opening up the underneath pass. Seems to be the only thing he is good at now, just being faster than CBs on deep routes. Meh, which should be enough to keep VD and Crabs open underneath. Maybe if the 49ers are lucky and Kaep gives him a chance he can haul it in. Who can say until it happens, but Jenkins does seem very capable of beating the CB deep in the very few times he has played.

You should note, these are probably 2 of maybe 3 or 4 times of seeing the field in the half. And he did his job perfectly. Maybe only 2 for 2, I don't know, just the only times I noticed him.

That's good film analysis. This kid has good hands and is quite fast, he won't be nor can't carry the load for this team but hopefully he's been studying film and getting his reps in because the team will need everyone's contributions if they are to make it far.

Crabtree, Moss, Jenkins, Ginn will step up their game during the post season. I have a feeling about that. I'm just a little worried about Justin's health. Without him we are doomed.

Lockette (6-foot-2, 211 pounds), 26, is bigger, faster and has more experience in San Francisco’s offense. Signed by the 49ers on Sept. 24, he had two catches for 105 yards in two games with the Seahawks last year, including a 44-yarder in a Week 16 loss to the 49ers. He ran a 4.37-second 40-yard dash at the 2011 combine, which matched the fastest time by a wide receiver.

start him, YES......

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Harbaugh thinks Jenkins is the best WR on the team, but wanted to save him until the playoffs because he is an unstoppable surprise! We wanted to let crabs get 1000 yards and keep moss happy, so we didn't unleash him in the regular season!

I expect Jenkins to break Calvin Johnson's single season yardage record in the playoffs.

right NOW, it would just be good if catches a few passes and hangs onto the ball. he doesn't need a lot of receptions, doesn't need a lot of yards, doesn't need to make circus or highlight catches, doesn't need to fight hard for RACs.

just show you can run good routes and catch the ball. the stats will build as he starts playing more next season.

This WR situation is exactly why the Niners should have traded for Steve Smith. If they made a good enough offer, the cats would've bit. WR was the reason the Niners didn't win the SB last year, and it could be the same reason this year if someone takes 'em out.

It's pretty frustrating. Jenkins better get his ass in gear & make a contribution.
