I really wanted to post a youtube of "the real world" show but MB20 came up

Ok fine. You're not long someone who I wouldn't laugh at if they got punched in the face.

Deal?

Where's the proof?

What is Shelden Williams doing?

how about William Avery?

Corey Maggette?

Trajan Langdon?

Are Duke players taking care of these guys? Or is it just another bunch of bs like Duke doesn't get all the calls? :thumb:

Sheldon Williams is currently an advanced scout for the Brooklyn Nets. Trajan Langdon is an assistant GM for the Brooklyn Nets. Former Duke standout Billy King is GM for the Nets, so I guess that's the Duke connection. William Avery lives in Evans, GA after he retired in 2012. He has the "William Avery Basketball Academy" which he runs and often has Wojo as a speaker. Corey Magette is an college basketball analyst for Fox Sports.

Calipari is head butting against Coach K daily recruiting the same guys so he's getting a little frustrated. Marques Bolden being the obvious battlefield right now.

Here's the jab he threw to Coach K...

The heat in Kentucky must be turned up recently.

The arrogance from both is mind-boggling.

Williams is currently playing overseas. He made over 12 million in his stint in the NBA, and has probably banked another couple million while over there.

Maggette made almost 90 million in his NBA career, if he's not a dumbass he's set for life.

Langdon is the assistant GM for the Nets right now.

No clue what Avery is up too.

This made me look back at Chris Carawell.

I always thought he'd make it in the league as a wing off the bench. With a little bit of Danny Green in his game (despite coming years before Green, lol).

Now Coach Calipari is saying that blog post was not aimed at any one school

"It wasn't specific, you can obviously... when I speak, you guys (parse) every word. The reality of it is that post was more in a general sense. It wasn't geared to one person, one program"

I prefer the Duke approach, but I think Calipari's approach is much more honest and realistic. The NBA no longer allowing kids to be drafted straight out of high school has created a situation where you have kids being recruited with no intention of being in school for more than 1 year, 2 max.

If a school is going to recruit these "1 and done" players, everyone may as well be honest about it rather than pretend there's any kind of real commitment on either side.
