Holy shit did they say that?! Jesus Christ. :L :L

Number of the players did, and publicly said so... which goes to show you the level of control the coaching staff has over the team....

You have to remember that Watson has a no trade clause, so any floundering teams are going to be a tough sell. That is why he wants out of Houston. I'm surprised he had the Jets as one of his favored teams, as that franchise has been a shit show of late. Good decision with their coaching hire, but their front office is still questionable IMO. Miami would be my favorite if they're not too attached to Tua. They just missed the playoffs and are an easier fix than the Jets right now.

To be fair Tua is a bigger fraud the Darnold and they are just keeping it real.
I think Darnold is a scrub and is the worst QB in that division currently. Tua showed me a lot more this year than what Darnold has shown in his entire career.

After what the Rams paid for Stafford. what ever team is willing to trade three 1st's, two 2nd's, and some gold bullion will get Watson

That compensation was elevated to dump Goff's contract. Also, no first this year likely added at least one of those picks. Watson will definitely draw big value, but more focused this year and next in terms of draft picks.

I think most thought similarly about Tannehill. Adam Gase deserves a big part of the blame for both IMO and was a horrible hire by the Jets at the time. He just struggled within the division, so they hired him lol? Such a better hire this year, at least the Jets may be turning around. I still don't trust that front office though.

Good point. Tannehill was run out of Miami as a scrub and he's flourishing in Tennessee right now. Gase doesn't deserve to be working for an NFL team at this point in my opinion.

Don't agree. Anyone playing for Adam Gase gets a "lets see what he does with a real NFL coach". Tua on the other hand looked scared to throw and didn't impress while throwing, Definely showed signs of the "Carr scared shitless syndrome"

At the very least, Darnold has a lot more arm talent than Tua.

Agreed. Was majorly disappointed after all the hype. This guy isn't a NFL QB.

Not only is his arm weak for an NFL QB, he also isn't that athletic. I'm not sure why I had it in my mind that he was a lot faster. I guess a lot of Alabama guys look great in college.

I'd give him another chance with a full camp and healthy receivers personally, whether that's in Miami or elsewhere.

Absolutely he does. Tua looks like a girl throwing left handed. Not a Darnold fan but I take him ten out of ten times over Tua.

It's hard not to. There's guys on their third team that should be starting elsewhere, even within the SEC. There should be more regulation of recruits to level things out a bit. Give each team a maximum number of 5 star, 4 star, 3 star etc recruits they can sign each year.

Trade him now for a real QB before all doubt is erased.

The Lions just got 2 1s, a 3 and a top 15 QB for Stafford. IF Houston trades Watson they'll want at least 4 1s and a 2 now. The Stafford deal just made Watson worth exponentially more than he already was ( and he was worth a shit ton before )

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking, too. He'll be worth nothing next year if he struggles. However, I guess you could say that his value isn't high now, so they might as well see if he plays better next year.

True but only a few teams have the ammo IMO Jets and Dolphins and IDK if they want to go all in on Watson who IMO is over rated.

If you have the option to get Watson, of course. If they don't get that trade (or decide not to try), better to find out sooner than later. Nothing sucks more than wavering over that 5th year option, or even worse, that first extension and not being sure. QB second contracts are dangerous things (see Goff, Jared).

The Jets absolutely should not make that trade . Watson doesn't even make them a playoff team and losing all that draft capital would guarantee they'd remain playoff less for the next 5 years minimum
