Big difference between @Baltimore and @Cincinnati.....Just saying

Dalton has faced the Ravens five times. He’s thrown seven interceptions (his highest total against any team) to just four touchdowns. He has just a 53.1 completion percentage and quarterback rating of 63.7. He’s also lost a fumble. In Week 10 this year, Dalton completed 24 of 51 passes for 274 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions.

The above includes @ CIncy as well... just saying.

Dude, we are 7-0 at home THIS YEAR! Don't you realize we are much more formidable at home now? Never mind, you will after your boys get the treatment Sunday. We will win, we will cover, and Dalton will have a better passer rating this Sunday than Flacco.

Dalton has only played one meaningful game against Baltimore in Cincy. That was the last game of the 2011 season -- Ray Rice pretty much won that game himself. Too bad he doesn't play football anymore.

Neither team was trying in last season's game.

The treatment? lol...So cocky for a team that hasnt won a damn thing yet. Not one playoff game won and u are talking about the treatment? wow.

If anybody knows how much "Homefield" means to a team its me. Look at the stats the Ravens are second in winning at home since 2002 and had one of the longest streaks at home.

We shall see....

Not great at protection against the Ravens he was sacked 5 times last meeting...

In Week 10 this year, Dalton completed 24 of 51 passes for 274 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions.

Just saying...

Flacco has faced the Bengals 11 times and has thrown 12 INT's vs 11 TD's. Roughly the same 1-1 ratio as Dalton.

Flacco also averages just 175 yards a game vs the Bengals. Dalton averages 235 yards a game vs the Ravens.

In the win this past year, Flacco threw for just 140 yards, 2 TD's, and 2 INT's, for a comp% of just 55%...

The biggest key I take away from Flacco this year...he's always been an average QB (Playoff run last year aside) and the loss of any type of running game has reverted him back to what he really is...Andy Dalton (look up the career arc, it is nearly identical). Flacco has had the benefit of having top 5 defense (as is Dalton) but has also had a top 5 RB every year to help ease the pressure. They are, basically, the same QB.

Comparing the Ravens' defensive stats this year at home vs on the road explains it all.

Home 17.6ppg 5.1yppl 319 ypg 5.9 yppa

Road 25.3 ppg 5.6 yppl 346 ypg 7.4 yppa

1.5 more yards per pass attempt says it all. The defense is just not as strong outside the friendly confines. Yep, we will see.

Except all of Flaccos playoff victories,Super Bowl win, Super Bowl MVP..then they are the same right?

Also, Flacco didnt even have a top 10 defense last year and most of the year wasnt even top 20. So its not really the same is it?

@Cdumler...

He has always been a complimentary back he was never workhorse back I am fine with that. He is best used out of the backfield Id be fine if he never ran the ball.

WHich leads me to my next question...Ray Rice and Bernard Pierce had good years last year and moraculously this year "neither" are doing shit...Do you think just maybe just maybe its the OL? or is the second year RB Bernard Pierce falling apart as well?

Never been the work horse? So what was 2011 when he was 3rd in carries that season only behind MJD and Michael Turner? If that is the case then I guess there is no true "Work Horse" running backs ever in the NFL anymore. Or it could just be that you have no idea what you are talking about. I think the latter makes more sense.

Now when it comes to why Pierce then is having just as bad of a year well you are right the OL has been horrible this year and that is part of it. Like others have said though the eye test to me shows Pierce at least being a little better than Rice. Heck he has twice as many broken tackles as Rice on 60 less carries this season. Throw in he has picked up more yards after contact than Rice.

1 year, 2010 they were 17th...every other year they were top 10, and many top 5.

I said excluding the playoffs...I guess reading isn't one of your strong suits.

But, hey...don't take my word for it:

From your own Baltimore Sun:

Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton following similar path to Flacco - Baltimore Sun

Or how about CBS Sports:

Joe Flacco got paid for this? Pay attention, Cincinnati Bengals - CBSSports.com

Flacco through three years: 10,206 passing yards, 62 percent accuracy, 60 touchdowns vs. 34 interceptions, 87.9 passer rating.

Dalton through 2 1/2 years: 9,928 yards, 61.3 percent, 65 TDs, 42 INTs, 85.8 rating.

Take it a step farther and note that Flacco's next two years, the 2011-12 seasons, saw his numbers go down (58.6 percent, 42 TDs, 22 INTs, 84.3 rating). But he got hot at the right time, led the Ravens to a Super Bowl title, and then got paid. More power to him, but there's a lesson here.

Yeah, Flacco got hot at the right time. Congrats to him, and to Baltimore, but a 3 game stretch does not a career make. Overall, in the regular season...Flacco and Dalton could be damn near identical twins...if Flacco was a ginger.

Damn those facts and statistics...

Maybe Flacco's down year is really because he's missed Super Pitta for most of the year...yeah, I'm sure that's it...

Let's compare Flacco and Dalton this season.

Dalton 62.2% completions 4013 yards 7.30 ypa 31 td 16 int rating 91.0
Flacco 58.9% completions 3720 yards 6.60 ypa 18 td 19 int rating 75.2

Why, you're right. They aren't the same quarterback at all.

What are Daltons stats in his second playoff game of last year? year before?

You are right Flacco and Dalton are not alike at all...

Flacco was 11 TD's in the playoffs last year and ZERO interceptions a Super Bowl win and MVP.

This simply doesn't make sense.

What does being a fan of a team that just won a championship have anything to do with looking up and using facts to support an argument?

If you are going to hang out on our board, can you at least try to make sense? Thanks.

Damn. For being "educated" you sure can't follow a simple thought.

First, we are talking about regular season. Why? Because ANYONE can get hot in the playoffs for 2-3 weeks (I mean, hell Joe Flacco did) despite their regular season statistics. So, we've already digressed on last year's playoffs.

Also, in what year did Flacco finally come out and have the best playoff year of his career? Would that have been his 5th year? So, Dalton still has 2 more years to complete an exact cycle of what Flacco has done.

So, how about you just go away for 2 years and then come back and we'll re-evaluate. It's probably best considering you still can't follow a single thought through about the regular season.

Or even mention all the articles comparing the two QB's, their career arc, etc...etc...Seriously...and you claim to be "educated"?

I would not want to be the school claiming your degree.

I guess you just want to ignore all the other facts comparing the two QB's across the nation, and including in Flacco's own back yard...typical troll.

Argue a point and ignore all facts that go against said argument.

If this is the best you've got, I'm really, really disapointed.
