I find it amusing that soccer embraced ads on jerseys 30+ years ago and only now is it becoming more commonplace over here, and North American sports embraced naming rights to buildings 30+ years ago and only recently has it become the norm in soccer.
I always see the ads on jerseys debate going down a dark tunnel.
Everyone's either "OMG sponsors everywhere" or "OMG ad instead of logo". It'll probably be neither. One patch, above the logo and on the other side from the C or A. You know, like the AHL.
Start there. See how the product looks. Change if necessary.
I don't mind the patch, because I honestly don't focus on them when I'm watching the AHL team near me in person. I'm focused on the product and forget that sponsorship is visible.
