Anyone still think he can get 2500 this Season? Anyone think he'll crack 2000?

McCoy, however, is on pace to get 2,107 yards. Anyone think he'll break Dickerson's record this Season?

only 1500 yards...that's it? :laugh3:

He won't crack 2000, and he may not get 1500 either, i think only 2-3 RB's have rushed for 1500+ yards after a 2000 yard season..

I don't think McCoy will keep on that pace. After 3 games into the season the Eagles players already look completely gassed on both sides of the ball.

It would be cool to see McCoy break the record, but with the way he is utilized, I see him getting injured before he even gets close.

I bet AP will round off around 1800. He has a lot of ground to make up if he wants to break 2k.

Take away AP's first carry against the Lions, and his ypc is under 3...Shocking. Besides that run, he's at 68 carries for 203 yards. Horrible...

2.6 YPC to be exact, since that opening carry of 78.

As long as Ponder is taking the snaps, why not stack the box?

Teams did that last year and well, that didn't work out too well. I think it's too much, the toll one 2000 yard season put on your body is unreal.

Yea. He probably pushed himself to the limit. Having the greatest rehab period ever, and then having arguably the greatest season for a RB in the same year. He probably doesn't have much left.

Huh, yea 1500 yards, pretty sucky year for him. I feel bad for Minnesota, think they should just trade him to the Bears for a 7th rounder, he's over the hill.

That's just one example of why I put zero stock in stats like YPC other than some weight on a career standpoint. Game by game, they are absolutely meaningless. Just my opinion here. Too many things can skew the numbers one way or the other. The answers to both questions are no and no. AP won't have another 2000 and actually 1500 would still be a great year, considering where he is. McCoy will never get to that point because he will never get enough carries in that offense. 2000 yds is a huge number. There's a good reason only a handfull of guys have been there and they are all HOF great.

Chris Johnson being the exception to the HOF comment.

McCoy is the primary weapon in their offense. He's averaging over 20 touches a game. I think touches won't be the problem, it will be his health. If he stays healthy, he has a chance at 2000. If Chris Johnson can do it, he can. And I understand how numbers can be misleading, but still, the best RB in the league shouldn't be under 3 ypc.

Considering where AP is and what's around him, 3ypc is or would be a miracle.

And it goes back to what I said earlier in this thread about how is pretty much gave everything last year, so he's probably declining already.

Yeah, that otherworldly year would be near impossible to repeat, I don't know about the fatigue factor but really tough to run there.

Nobody takes into account that he is missing his starting FB. And his change in YPC with and without a FB are pretty drastic.

Thats what I was thinking the Eagles offense didnt have the same spunk in that Chiefs game as they had in the Redskins game. I think by mid season they will be totally spent and probably lose the remaining games.

Last year after 3 games he only had 230 yards and was only on pace for 1226 yds...

He only ended up with 2097

Just sayin...
