I wont even look this up .... I'll let you do it

you say half of Barry's

I'd say 80% or higher of every other Rbs TDs come from within the 10

You're the one who said he was no good in the red zone. I just proved you're FOS. You want how many he score inside the red zone ?

Twist didn't just say he was no good -- but that he was pulled from the game in those situations 95% of the time.

52 of Barry's 109 TD's came from 10 yards and in. 26 of them from 3 yards and in.
since you found that stat. I am curious how many of those 26 TDs are from rushing?

Ok, I'll just add that to the list of things he's been wrong about in this thread.

A stat that caught my eye was in 1994 Emmitt had 22 TD's only one was longer than 8 yards.

what the percentage is for most Rbs TDs inside the redzone.......

He finds that he is going to feel real bad

I'm not trying to defend Barry but why should he be punished because he broke alot of longer runs for TD's?

What would that say anyway ? Was Barry supposed to stop running & fall down when he was headed to the house from outside the red zone ?

oh. those were all rushing.

2.6 TDs a year in short yardage.

Don't know why this is even being argued. it is known world wide that Sanders wasn't a short yardage or goal line back. he was often pulled when it that scenario. Although I wouldn't have said inside the 10, but inside the 5. So the 3 yds or less TDs that you have stated is what I would have looked at.

I think the argument was Barry is a great runner but not a complete back as Emmitt. Emmitt was on the field for all scenarios. Whether it be any down pass or run whether he had to stay in & block so Irvin could get his TDs, whatever. While Barry being a great pure runner was pulled for many reasons. This particular argument is over short yardage.

I didn't say 20 I said redzone .. then later said short and goal to go ... Short and goal is considered under 5

I never tried to make the argument that Sanders was a better short yardage back than Emmitt. The whole point of this argument is he wasn't riding the bench in those situations nearly as much as some have tried to say.

One more stat: Barry Sanders has more 40 yard runs than the next best 4 guys from his era comined...and by quite a good margin

don't have to convince me brother. I know he was pulled in short yardage. Don't understand how this is even being argued.

I don't think you will get anyone to argue about him being a badass at breaking one all the way.

Well I guess you'd have to look at how often they got down there. It's also known world wide that the Lions didn't have nearly the offensive weapons the Boys did. They never had a QB worth a damn, nor did they have a line that could move the LOS.

The only debate that can ever be made as a vs Sanders in being able to take a normal handoff and tote it all the way down the field would be Sayers....

That part I don't think will ever be argued. Best two SCAT backs ever IMO

But there is a difference in being a scat back and a complete back ... A HUGE one
