Because they taste good. Jonagold and Arkansas black are my favorite. Wife likes honey crisp and I agree they taste good but no way in hell im paying $5/lb for a damn apple.

I'm simple old school with a Red Delicious and do enjoy a Golden Delicious. Got both in the fridge.
