It kinda looks like both sides could have handled this a lot better. Arians and the Bucs appear to be lying about not knowing about the ankle and A.B. went off the rails. Disfunction all around here. Frankly, as I said in my earlier post, Arians is an asshole too so no way can I side with him either. I hope this thing completely derails the Bucs and they get their asses kicked WC weekend by whomever. At this point, I might even be tempted to cheer for the Eagles over them.

Those text messages seem more phony than his vaccination card

They will be suspect just due to A.B.s history for sure. One can't trust anything that comes from him at this point but Arians is such a tool that it would not surprise me in the least if he is somewhat culpable in all of this to a degree.

The Arians one seems fake. Who starts their texts with "This is *insert name*" if its not the first time you've ever texted someone? Old people I guess and BA is old so maybe. The Alex Guerrero one is just stupid and I have no idea what AB thinks it proves. He asked for his money back, AG says yes, and this is somehow bad?

But even if the Arians text is real, it proves nothing. Of course the Bucs knew about his ankle. What they didn't know is if he made it worse IN GAME. And given what details we know so far, there's no way Arians would have known if he made it worse. Because protocol is if a player hurts himself in game, the player is suppose to seek medical treatment. If he's unfit to go, a medical staffer then lets the coaches know a player is unavailable (head coaches have way more going on than checking every player and telling them to get treatment).

So here's my theory of what happened:

Brown set out to play to get his incentives. He pushed thru his injury, got a toradol shot (the substance he claims is dangerous but teams use it all the time), and went out there. The staff knew this and its routine. There's no controversy here. But as the game is going on, AB isn't involved much. He only had 3 catches, they are losing, and Gronk is getting a shit ton of targets. Things aren't going AB's way so he just says fuck it, I'm gonna sit down. They aren't throwing me the ball and my ankle is hurt anyway. Except he never alerted the medical staff that his ankle is giving him problems. Arians wants to know where AB is since no staffer has alerted an issue to him, he goes over to check and AB throws his tantrum and then Arians kicks him off the team and AB loses it.

That sounds very reasonable and fits the “personalities” of all involved.

It doesn’t hurt to ask, I guess, but I wonder what (if any) logic was behind the request?

The moment money in a contract becomes guaranteed, you can take out an almost no interest loan against it. Not guaranteed and the interest rate if you have bad credit, say if you dont always pay your bills, becomes ridiculous.

That wasnt my question (maybe I worded it badly).

I mean, why would the team agree to that? What negotiating power did AB bring to convert those incentive clauses to guaranteed monies? I totally understand why AB would want the terms changed.

There have been times were teams actually do weird things like this that is actually not in their financial interest to do, where a player has little to no real leverage, just to placate a player and keep him happy.

EXCLUSIVE: Fired Bucs star Antonio Brown smuggled OnlyFans model - who went viral for licking a toilet seat in 2020 - into his hotel for a steamy sex romp and told her to watch 'what I do tomorrow' - the night before he stormed off the field

Told her watch what i do tomorrow, it's obvious he planned to do this because the Bucs refused to guarantee the 2 million
