Aaron Rodgers throws a tantrum

Do they even call that shit anymore? I swear I see it about 5 times a game. 10 if New England's playing.

They call it if it is blatant. Obviously the entire league uses passing plays that do this pretty liberally, it is the bread and butter of crossing routes, but if it is bad enough they do call it. Just checked the penalty stats, up through last week it has been called 39 times this season on WRs (most common WR penalty), 18 times on TEs (third most common on TEs after holding and false starts), and even twice on RBs (tied for fifth). There that's probably more than you ever wanted to know about illegal pick calls.

Yeah, I mean, it's been a pretty dark period in the Bears-Packers rivalry lately.

Really, it's been pretty dark from your perspective since 1992 - the beginning of the Brett Favre era. The Packers are 35-13 against the Bears since Favre became the starter. There were a few years at the end of Favre's career during the Mike Sherman era/beginning of the Mike McCarthy era when the Bears' defense and special teams dominance peaked that the Bears went on a little run, but when Aaron Rodgers took over in 2008 the script was flipped again.

1992-2003: 20-4 Packers
2004-2007: 6-2 Bears
2008-2015: 13-3 Packers

The Bears have won once in the last eleven meetings with the Packers and that one win was when they knocked Aaron Rodgers out of the game on the first drive.

Oh. Yeah probably should have been obvious to me, given the degree of obviously light-hearted humor and quick-response followup you've thrown into this thread. Clearly joking.
I was until a couple of dickhead got into it and made it about them l....I won't step away from a challenge and I'm not gonna let a couple pieces of shit try to troll this board

What's the big deal? At this level, guys like Rodgers are the ultimate competitor and frustration boils over. It's a non-issue.

I'm a Cubs fan. 1992 is, in my opinion, "lately". So your correction is basically unnecessary. Your instant gratification, short-term attention span issues are really not my problem.

Sooo... You're at least 107 years old then? Impressive! Congratulations on still having the motor functionality to actively type on message boards at that age.

Characterizing that as a "tantrum" is idiotic. He was clearly irritated but as upset displays by football players on the sidelines go that's peanuts. By that standard there are a couple of hundred "tantrums" thrown in every nfl game.

What is a lot more interesting is how the refs managed to miss calling the obvious illegal pick on the packers that allowed Cobb to be so open.
Thank you for someone bringing some common sense into the discussion. He was mad at himself for not seeing Cobb on the far right wide open because the pressure was immediately upon him. He was merely angry at himself when he saw how open Cobb was. Big fucking deal, much to do about nothing. The OP is an imbecile if he thinks this was some ridiculous tantrum directed at someone else. He wants to win and he knew that play probably cost them their one chance to tie the game. BIG FUCKING DEAL.

I just read through this thread and the only thing I came away with is that @leomaz comes across as well adjusted and really, really funny.

Pick plays are very common in the NFL and seldom penalized. The Patriots run them all the time.
