All I know they better resign him, they should never pull a London Fletcher again.

The London Fletcher debacle. That dates back to the Eric Dickerson disaster and for those of you who remember, the Jack "Hacksaw" Reynolds mess.

When A. Donald gives an endorsement it is sort of like the old E.F. Hutton commercials. Apparently Pro Football Focus has rated Donald at the highest league-wide of 99.9 out of 100. In turn, Donald has complimented the new signees in Easley and Coples and many now believe the Rams D-Lineman has returned to elite status at least on paper of course.

Aaron Donald praises Dominique Easley, Quinton Coples at Rams OTAs

My question isn't the talent on the defense but would be who is going to take over the leadership role on the defense since the two biggest leaders are now gone. I'd say it'd probably have to be Donald or Quinn but has anyone seen them exhibit those qualities in the past?

Donald seems to be the default guy on the leadership ledger because of his stout play and all of the accolades that he has already accumulated. Although perhaps a guy like Barron or say Ogletree may step in as a co-leader like the two stout leaders we just lost.

I agree UVA that with Long and Lil Animal gone a leader must emerge. Donald and Tree are the ones that will have to take over. Quinn should also be a strong leader. We will see who steps up but we know the guys that left might have been leaders but their skills had faded to the point that they were leading from behind. The changes will probably be better for the team now and for the future ahead.

Pro Football Focus gives Donald a 99.9.

Fittingly, Donald's jersey # is 99.

Donald has stated that he is going to take more of a leadership role going forward.
