I was wondering if it had been mentioned at all on a royals broadcast. Three in a row has to be a record though.

Also, I am utterly shocked the Tigers got swept by the O's. Not far from game 5 being played. Sympathies from me.

Thanks, I am shocked as well, I thought the tigers were the best team in the AL heading into the playoffs. Clearly I was wrong, the orioles dominated all facets of the game and definitely deserved the sweep. I also thought that he tigers would get destroyed in the world series by pretty much any NL team as I think the NL teams are superior. Shold be interesting and would be incredible to see the royals in the WS. Maybe greinke against his old team?

JV has been missing something for a while, I still maintain its injury related or wear and tear related as hes too youn to be slowing down already. That very well could be personal bias though. Miggy on the other hand I cant say its lack of passion for him. When scherzer was going around talking about the bonus for making the playoffs miggy declined saying he was focusing solely on the ring.

you bring up a great point, this team was not on the same page, with the same goals. Miggy wants to win, but some years the frustration of the rest of the team not wanting it as much will get to him and it will affect his game. I am sure Teddy Baseball wanted to punch some teammates in the face some years.

I have heard many times, the best statistical team doesn't always win the WS, its just who gets hot at the right time, etc....One thing in common about the Champs every year, they are all on the same page, with one goal in mind, regardless of money/contracts, ego's etc...they are the best TEAM. Playing together like kids on a playground with no coaching or fans.

Fair enough, my apologies... At least you got to enjoy another season of winning baseball as a Twins fan I got to enjoy another 90+ loss season, hopefully the last for a long time!

Other fans in the ALC might find comfort in this notion.(Bums has been tryin to since early winter '07.) But as a Tigers fan, it's nice to know that Diamond Dave has made a career out of opening windows.
One guy from the '06 WS team remains a Tiger. And he was by all intents and purposes the most disappointing starter, until three weeks ago. Hell, there are only a handful of guys left from the 2012 WS team. (My boy DK, Maxie Poo, JV, Ricky, Lil' Al, Slick Vic, Al New Mexico.... that's it, I believe.)

So even if it looks like its closed, you can still feel a draft. Knowhatimsayin'?

My fear is the Royals window crashing shut. Big Game James keeps dealin' and those Brinks trucks will have to work OT. Ace Jason Vargas just doesn't have that ring to it.

Wasn't the main man Phil Coke on the Tigers teams from '10 through '14? There is the anchorman along with Avila, Kelley, Worth....heck you got anchors for all 4 corners of the boat...its not the best players on your team, its your weakest players. DD has to get rid of them 4 if he really wants to take a shot at it. Along with Hunter, his luck has runnith over.

With Ventura, Duffy, Binford and Finnegan's performances this year, Vargas may never see the word Ace in front of his name.

For all talk over the years about the weakness of the central I did randomly think of something...

Once the Royals made it to the ALCS I was like fuck, why are the Twins the only team that always gets owned in the playoffs from our division(Sox got a WS, Kitties 4 straight ALCS and Indians had one)..but of course we did make the ALCS in 02 at least!!

Anyways to my discovery..I believe the AL Central is the only division in baseball to have all their teams reach the LCS or better since 2002. I didn't look it up, went purely off memory but I think I'm right. Also believe that if the Nats somehow come back then the NL East would join us. Completely random factoid but makes our division look a little less shitty!!!

it has been said that iam a homer..hard to believe... BUT I aways pointed out Tiger faults... every body knew the bull pen sucked...
