Imagine if the Royals win the series

That would certainly be an emphatic end to a ~30 year chapter in Royals history.

Truly be a story book ending with the DNA of this years team.

I am laughing at myself for saying they need a power bat over and over again... still do, but the young kids are stepping up their part in the story.

I find the whole Ausmus at fault overboard.

Last week all I heard was Soria should be the closer and Ausmus is stupid to stay with Nathan. Well maybe he stayed with Nathan because he knew Soria's pitches lacked pop and he was very hittable!

Al A should e the setup guy was all I heard on the radio yesterday! The man is wild and melts down every other appearance. He hardly pitched in September and the thought Ausmus has his guy is stupid! Maybe just maybe the guy that is with the team everyday knows more about his team than the so called talk jockeys on the radio!

The bullpen is an abortion! Chamberland, Nathan, Soria, and AlA can't be counted on. Sanchez has not pitched since returning and if you leave him in for a third inning and he gets shelled or injured your a boob.

I can't say Ausmus is the fault the Tigers are down 2. He has made questionable moves but with what he was given to work with all moves are questionable. Benoit>Soria and Miller>Chamberland both moves Dave D didn't make.
Benoit didn't pitch at the end of the season either. So there's not really any way to say he'd have been better in Detroit than anyone. Soria is horrible. Doesn't change the fact Ausmus did the right thing by taking Sanchez out when he did.

Somehow people think guys can just go right back to buisness as usual after a two month layoff. Not gonna happen, doesn't need to happen.

Im more annoyed with Cabrera getting throw out at home than anything else. Nathan would have had a chance to blow it if that didn't happen.

IMO in the post season you don't really need a power bat if you have really good pitching.....All you really need is timely hitting, good defense, and smart base running.

I always have a raised eyebrow towards teams who depend on the HR to score. Where are the pitchers giving up bombs in the postseason?

Os still have to win 1 more game.
I can see the Tigers winning 2 at home. and just pure HEART...and the starters have to go longer. at least 8 innings.

do you get the feeling that if the Tigers are down just 1 run late..they wont come back?

Still doing better than michigan.

And when their players are hurt, they care about safety. Don't keep throwing him to the wolves!!

Get used to michigan and the tigers losing. Red wings start soon, more losses coming!!

wow such a big sample to

Small sample and still impressive to see young kids not phased by playoff hype.

JD Martinez numbers are impressive also...really surprised this was not your reply because he had 2 bombs.

Doug you really should take those homer glasses off and watch this post season. Truly some great games outside of our Tigers going on.

Yeah but baseball is like Hockey.... The Angels, Dodgers, and Nats can all force a game 5 if they happen to fall down 2-0 because they're all that damn good

I excluded the Tigers because they're the only team that would be down 2-0 playing 2 home games in games 3/4 instead of on the road but I do think they can force a deciding game 5

I agree about angels and dodgers. I think LA is still in fine shape now and can still win 2 in St. Louis if need be. Lackey is game 4 won't scare anyone.

Angels offense could erupt at anytime and they got Guthrie game 4. So they just got find a way vs Shields.

Nats are screwed I think if they don't win tonight. Do or die vs Bumgarner is bad.

The thing about the Angels though is CJ Wilson is pitching vs Shields- and it will not be a warm day. Angels are in real trouble.

O i know. As I said a page back angels are in trouble game 3.

But if they find a way to win tomorrow with shitty ass Wilson I think they come all the way back. Just my pick.

Although I don't like espn showing weaver in game 4 on short rest.
