Hey stat junkies... What is the criteria for getting a (hold)? Not sure what inning you receive one and such and what the lead needs to be.

I believe it is the exact same criteria as a save but the hold doesn't end the ball game like the save does. It "holds" the lead.

08 the Twins lost Torri and Johan after a awful 07 season. They were expected to do NOTHING. Somehow the team fought and lost game 163 1-0 on a Jim Thome solo bomb and Ken Griffey JR's corpse threw out Michael Cuddyer at home. Honestly though, if front office had a brain they would actually do that though. We are going to have one of the best offenses in baseball for the foreseeable future and only Mauer is getting paid. The rest are all gold mines.
