FIP is the biggest load of crap. The only reason the stat kind of works is because pitchers that give up a lot of HR's are also giving up a lot of extra base hits on top of it. If you flip things around then for a batter the only difference between an infield single and a scorched line drive double down the line is luck. If they want to go down that path then they should look at slugging percentage instead of HR's. Another example of the stat bloat that we're seeing in professional sports right now.
Oh, FIP certainly has its flaws, but I think it was definitely fair to say Milone was not nearly as good as his ERA, and I wasn't going to post a very long post detailing it. So, yes, I was lazy and listed his ERA, FIP, and xFIP.
KC schedule is easy, Detroits not that hard though, Seattle seems to have the toughest remaining.
KC should win the division unless they choke
Fister is putting up some unbelievable numbers now in his prime...2.18 era, 1.03 whip, 11 wins in 17 starts.

The thing with Detroit though is losing Sanchez and Soria blows a couple holes open. Hopefully KC can capitalize and build a lead big enough to hold out in September.

Maybe your guys will go 17-3 over their next twenty? Again.
I just want to win tonight, darn it!
