Was just going to comment on his OBP. It's terrible for hitting at a solid clip.

Not too surprised about the homers being at 11 though. And he's still hitting a lot of doubles at least.

But the walks are just awful.

He was a waiver gem for the first half once he got going.

Anytime you get 17 HR's from a waiver pickup for baseball minimum $$ is a good find.

It is not like the Tigers picked him up to be a savior. He sure hepled the absence of Dirks and might have produced more to this point than Dirks might of. That we will never know.

Yeah, Joba had been pretty good for about 7 or 8 outings before today's. We knew he was on borrowed time and would crumble again at some point. The Davis error didn't help, that's for sure.

Surprisingly, today was the first time this season the Tigers didn't win a game that they led after 7 innings.

Either way, I am sick of how the Tigers are playing. Still tied 5-5 as I write. How does a near minor league offense do this kind of damage to Max and then Joba?

And when we acquired Nathan I told my wife she could finally exhale in the 9th because there is no more Todd Jones or Jose Valverde. Instead, he has been worse. Tough year. We just got to get through this road trip within 3 games of first and we will somehow weather the storm. I live in Warren. I weathered that one. This one should be a breeze.

Weird stuff happens in baseball. The D-Backs lit up Kershaw a few months ago (7 ER in 1.2 IP). Kershaw's allowed 19 ER in his last 123 innings since that start (1.39 ERA).

Very true. Lighting up Kershaw is like lighting up a piece of driftwood that just got washed ashore by flood waters. The D-Backs must have had a mix of gasoline and lacquer thinner somewhere that night!
