He will not repeat last years numbers but he is off to an impressive start. Only cuetoand maybe greinke have looked better. Unless the tigers win the world series though it was a bad move not trading max while they could have. They are going to end up losing him in FA.

yeah, don't know why this is something worth bragging about. Scherzer was showing improvement in his peripherals for years and it finally translated to a big year last year. There was nothing about his performance last year that suggested he would regress, and he's only gotten better. Scherzer was always regarded as a talented pitcher.

Now, if you were, say, predicting Jesse Chavez to break out...

the point was..... many said scherzer would not have any thing close to as good as year he had last year. many argued about it. I said...are you crazy??? he is just getting better and better. he has learned how to pitch. plus he can throw 95 plus.. of course.. many scoffed. said I was a homer. as always I was RIGHT> that's just my point!

Whether he should have done that is up for debate, but he shouldn't have been given the hook so quickly. That was just awful. Kazmir has every right to be beating up trash cans IMO.

I'll gladly root for Porcello anytime he isn't pitching against the Red Sox. I don't live far from where he went to school (he was born in Morristown, which is about 30 minutes from me).

Absolutely. I'm surprised Lester hasn't had more ejections than he has. He's been known to stare down umps. And his frustrations would occasionally get to him and lead to big innings, particularly in 2012...
