Nice guy though, great smile. (He and Cespedes are the same hitter, to me. They just swing away, Merrill style.)

Actually he's been a very solid fielder for us. His issue is obviously he's so much damn slower that he just can't get to some balls anymore so that part is 100% correct. But if he gets to it, he catches it everytime.

He does have two absolutely idiotic blind throws back into the infield for errors though. Royals fans should know, one was vs them

funny. MLB has Hunter 19th in fielding range among OFs. Not great, but not bad for his age. And he is one spot ahead of JD Martinez.

Add to that Hunter is 15th in OPS among AL OF, and we have a pretty productive right fielder. ANd we like him, to boot.

I've really only seen him this year against the Tigers. But seeing him eryday the last few years as a Tiger, he looked like a DH. Was a battle between him and Nick for biggest defensive liability. Couldn't put Kelly in for both late in games at the same time.

I don't pay any attention to defensive stats, but I know his were ugly last year.
